Heligan Hive

Heligan Hive is the conversion and refurbishment of existing two-storey Portakabin units into an inspiring office space and educational facility at the Lost Gardens of Heligan. As part of a wider masterplan, the Hive will allow the team at Heligan to come together in a central, collaborative working environment.

The brief was for an inspiring creative solution which felt quintessentially ‘Heligan’ and mitigates the impact of the existing two-storey structure on its sensitive location – we have proposed an expressive screening system made from natural materials which surrounds the existing forms and encourages natural plant growth.

A planning application was made in September 2021 and we look forward to realising this project in 2022.
